Brother UK

Senior Management Team Development Programme
Challenge

Impact Consulting Psychologists were approached by Brother UK, a leading world-wide electronics and manufacturing company, for help during a major period of change.

Action

Following a period of consultation and diagnostics our team developed a Senior Management Team Development Programme for Brother. This was designed to encourage the SMT to work together in the development process to build a cohesive team, define roles and examine and understand the impact of their behaviour on the organisation.

Key to this process was setting expectations of 'acceptable performance' for the SMT, and to establish total trust, innovation and creativity within the team.


Outcome

The outcomes of the programme were incredibly positive. Evaluations showed that new techniques had been learned and applied and that the SMT had a clear vision of how to support their colleagues through the transition. This change was of enormous help with the new world post re-organisation.

Board Development
Challenge

The board had a need to become more outcomes driven, commercially oriented, cohesive and constructive. They were shaping the future direction of the PCT and delivering the present targets, underpinned by public sector values.

Action

Over a 9 month period, our team worked intensively with the full board, Executives and Non Executive Directors. Working closely with the Chair, Chief Executive and Director of Human Resources, we helped Executive Directors shape their personal development plans, challenging thinking and stretching objectives.

Our range of diagnostic tools and high level executive coaching helped the team focus on individual and team performance. Negotiating, handling conflict, stakeholder mapping and moving the organisation forward were also covered.


Outcome

The positive outcomes reported were of great significance to the organisation, team and individuals. Greater understanding and clarity were achieved and the board were focused on the goals of effective team working and cohesion to become even
more effective.

Adproducts are one of the UK’s leading suppliers of promotional products. Their passion for their outstanding reputation for client care led them to invite us to develop strategies for developing their skills even further.

Action

Our team extensively measured service quality within the organisation and carried out specific research from colleagues and customers. Using this insight, we designed a Customer Service Programme that was interactive and aligned to the high level objectives of the business.

Foremost in our minds was the future development and prosperity of the organisation. Instilling an understanding of how customer excellence helps this.


Outcome

Adproducts were delighted with the outcomes of the programme, and increased levels of customer satisfaction. The whole team had a much greater understanding of the link between customer care and the bottom line. Confidence was increased with new techniques and attitudes.
